Where do we park?

Parking will be outside of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s South Gate.  Exact parking location, map and instructions will be on the website in late October.

Busses will shuttle you into the secured course starting area and then back to the parking area after the race.

Will I be able to leave early?

No, Buses do not shuttle people back UNTIL race is over.

In an event of an emergency, Air Force Base Security will be contacted and the appropriate action will be taken (ambulance, escort, etc)

What can I bring?

Chairs, soft coolers, umbrella, strollers (spectators only)

NO POP-UP TENTS or Weapons (pocket knives, guns, mace etc)

All bags will be inspected (Air Force Security & K9 unit).

Can I bring my dog?

No dogs or service animals allowed due to race being held on a wildlife refuge. This applies to spectators as well.

Strollers and accessible scooters (wheelchairs)?

No Strollers are allowed on course, strollers are only allowed to be with spectators. Busses are not equipped for ECV’s.

What I forget something in my car?

There is no way to head back to your car until the race is over. Please plan ahead.

Is there a race time limit?

There is a HARD 3.5 hour time limit for this race. If you are planning on walking or finishing the race close to the hard limit, please consider moving into the 10K division.

Yes for runners ONLY.

Where are we running?

Course Map will be on the site by end of September.

There will be six water/gatorade stops on course at approximately miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.

When is packet pickup?
Packet pickup will be held at Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach.
4151 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931
Friday – 4pm – 6pm
Saturday – 11am – 5pm
Morning of race – At race site parking lot, 5am – 6am* (HARD CLOSE)
*Please understand that from last year’s event, morning of event packet pickup was terribly backed up due to access to parking. The Air Force Station road is a single lane road into the grass parking area. We will try our best to improve on this, but STRONGLY recommend runners to get their packets the day/days before the race.

Please do not contact Ron Jon for any questions. Direct them to support@thefloridamarathon.com

In order to guarantee t-shirt sizes, packet pick up before race day is suggested.

Spectators

  • Entrants must register all spectators by October 30
Register all spectators; yes even infants. US citizens or Permanent Resident

  • ALL SPECTATORS MUST ALSO ATTEND PACKET PICKUP TO RECEIVE THEIR WRISTBANDS (minors can have theirs picked up by parent)

  • Cannot pick up for another runner.

Can I bring a spectator last minute?
NO, AND NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED.
